Welcome!

Our school community includes many cultures, bringing rich diversity to our school, but also steep challenges, including communication (in working with multiple cultures and languages) and financial need (as families typically earn less and have fewer financial assets than prior generations). Other challenges our community faces include unemployment, assimilation, homelessness, addiction, and neighborhood violence. 

One of our top priorities is to raise school enrollment from our current level of 280 students to at least 316. At this level our school would be near full capacity and financially self-sufficient for its operating costs. Many of our parish families would like to attend the school because of its safe and nurturing environment, but cannot due to their financial circumstances. Also among our top challenges are staying current with our technology, maintaining the breadth and depth of curriculum offered, and the equity of our educators’ compensation.

With your financial help, many of these families can attend our school and boost enrollment. You can help Holy Innocents School in several ways, many of which may offer substantial Federal or PA state income tax advantages (depending on your specific situation):

Annual appeal

Donations to our Annual Appeal directly benefit our school community in many ways including: tuition assistance and scholarships through our Make a Difference Program, subsidizing the cost of technology education, equipment and software for our School IT labs, and other initiatives to maintain a quality Catholic education for our students.

Sponsor a Student

Provide full or partial tuition assistance to specific student(s) needing financial assistance during their time at our school based on criteria you establish for the scholarship. For example, you can sponsor a student in a challenging family situation, or undergoing a specific hardship. Also, many families would like to send their children to our school but need financial assistance. You can help make a great Catholic education more affordable for families and raising enrollment in the mean time!

The EITC Program

Redirect your PA taxes to Holy Innocents School 

If you pay over $1,000 per year in PA Income taxes or own a business that pays PA income tax, please consider enrolling in the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program. The EITC provides individuals or businesses with a tax credit for their donations to nonprofit Scholarship or Education Improvement Organizations such as Holy Innocents School, so the tax liability you will already be paying anyway can be directed to our school.
